Dr. Vivek Trivedi was born and raised in Gujarat, India. He received his medical school training from NHL Municipal Medical College, Gujarat University, which is one of the premier medical schools in India. He completed his Internship and Internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (Elmhurst Program), NY. Following this, he pursued his specialty training Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Elmhurst, NY.

Dr. Trivedi is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA). He is a medical reviewer for evidence based clinical journals in gastroenterology.

He is board certified both in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He joined Piedmont Healthcare in 2013 and sees patients at both the Statesville and Mooresville offices.  He has active privileges at Iredell Memorial Hospital and Davis Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Trivedi recently completed certification in Barrett’s Endotherapy, including Lesion Recognition, Mucosal Imaging, Ablation Modalities, EMR, Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) and Cryotherapy.

Dr. Trivedi enjoys providing care for all gastrointestinal ailments, with special interest in Colon Cancer prevention, GERD (acid reflux), Barrett’s esophagus,  Pancreato-biliary ailments, Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and liver disorders.  He performs routine endoscopic procedures (upper endoscopy and colonoscopy) and he is also proficient in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoluminal Stenting (esophageal, biliary, colonic stents), Radiofrequency Ablation of Barrett’s Esophagus and Small Bowel Video Capsule Endoscopy.

In his spare time, Dr. Trivedi enjoys traveling, reading, playing tennis and mostly spending time with his family .
